Project Overview

The Restoration and conversion of a Grade II listed Napoleonic fort into a 5 Star luxury island retreat complete with eight bedroom suites and a roof deck. This is one of three converted 150 year old forts in the waters of the Solent.

Brief scope of works

Due to the complicated nature of the project and being situated a mile away from Portsmouth we attended regular site visits to see the progress of the construction work. SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd attended every design team meeting offering valuable compliance input. Our collaborative approach and working closely with the client, Architect, Fire Engineers, English Heritage and Fire Authority contributed to the success of the scheme.
