About Kevin Savage
As Managing Director of SOCOTEC Building Control, Kevin bringing specialist expertise as a 3G/4 Building Inspector. As a founding Director of Shore Engineering Ltd, he successfully led the business through its acquisition by SOCOTEC in 2022 and continues in his role as Managing Director.
His professional background includes serving as a Director of CICAIR Ltd, the former regulatory body for Approved Inspectors, where he remained until legislative changes transferred regulatory oversight to the Building Safety Regulator in 2024. Following these industry developments, Kevin was elected to the board of the Building Safety Competency Foundation in 2024, an organisation tasked with reviewing and approving the competency of Building Inspectors for appointment to the government's national register.
