About Joe Campion
Joe’s role as a Regional Director across Lincoln, Derby, Wakefield and Hartlepool combines operational leadership with financial oversight responsibilities. His distinguished career spans nearly three decades in Building Control, including 11 years at Lincoln City Council and a pivotal role as Technical Manager at Butler & Young Ltd, where he specialised in interpreting Approved Documents and maintaining critical liaison with Government departments and the BRE. As a qualified Fire Engineer and commercial/domestic energy assessor, Joe demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership as a founding Director of Quadrant Building Control in 2007. His comprehensive experience encompasses office management, financial performance oversight, and maintaining an active Building Control portfolio, bringing strategic insight and technical expertise to SOCOTEC Building Control's regional operations. Joe is a Class 3H/4 Registered Building Inspector who has been working with the Building Safety Regulator as part of their Multi-Disciplinary Team on Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 applications and is part of the SOCOTEC team who are dedicated to helping the BSR deliver their core objective of raising safety standards within all buildings.
